One of the most iconic products that Razer has ever made, and for sure the most popular mouse in the world of FPS games, is Razer Deathadder. The first Razer Deathadder mouse was released in 2006, and i wonder what could i say about the Deathadder series that you don’t already know. But, with the evolution of gaming and technology, here we have the Razer Deathadder Chroma, upgraded with one of the best sensors available and Chroma lighting up to 16.8 milion colors. Is the Deathadder Chroma currently the best mouse for CS:GO? Well, lets find out!
Well, since i had my first impression on the Deathadder mouse in 2008 (while i was playing CS 1.6), i simply fell in love with it. It was love on first sight, or, more accurately, love on first touch. It just felt perfect, and the design is, more or less, the same even today. They don’t have (thank God) any reason to change it, since it can fit perfectly in every type of hand and grip. It’s extremely ergonomic and it feels natural for either palm or claw grip.
As we said, the Deahtadder Chroma comes with fancy lighting options. The scrolling wheel and the Razer logo both illuminate, and you can customize the lighting colors, choosing from more than 16.8 million options in the software. You can pick different colors for the scrolling wheel and the logo, and you can set the light to pulse a single color, cycle through several colors, or remain static.
On Razer Deathadder Chroma you’ll find 5 buttons: the standard left and right click button, the scroll wheel that is simultaneously mouse 3 button, and the 2 programmable buttons (mouse 4 and mouse 5), located on the left side of the mouse.

As a gamer who plays with the Deathadder Chroma, i still cant find any negative word for the mouse. It’s literally perfect in every aspect. It has one of the best sensors at the market, and the hardware performance as a whole is perfect.
Speaking of the design, well, i still haven’t met gamer who said that the Razer Deathadder is not comfortable. All of that combined, makes it one of the best mouses for FPS games ever, especially, with improvements that Razer made on Deathadder Chroma, it’s for sure one of the best mouse for CS:GO on the market at the moment. It also comes with the Razer Synapse software, which offers plenty of options for customization of the Deathadder, for example, changing their sensor sensitivity, pointer acceleration and polling rate, as well as the lighting for the mouse.
All of that said, it’s not that hard to make a conclusion. Deathadder series were always on top of the rating lists for FPS gaming mices, and with the improvements of Deathadder Chroma, it goes towards very top of it.
It’s a simple fundamental mouse with all the necessaries to be suitable for every gamer who plays FPS games, especially high precision games like CS:GO is. The hardware performance is perfect, and the design is ergonomic, smooth and elegant, and you can choose your favorite illumination on top of it.
If you are looking for high-performance, ergonomic mouse with great customization options, and you have medium-to-large hands, you could consider Deathadder Chroma (or SteelSeries Rival 300) as your perfect mouse for CS:GO.
